SUMMARY:Josh Rouse
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to welcome critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Josh Rouse to The Common Room this July. Fans know Rouse for his introspective folk-pop and worldly perspective. He has built a strong reputation as a perennially reliable composer. \nRouse grew up moving frequently after his birth in Nebraska. These changing environments constantly inspire his music. He achieved widespread acclaim with his 1998 debut\, Dressed Up Like Nebraska. Rouse then relocated to Tennessee. This move led to his poignant 2005 record\, Nashville. \nHe later settled on the Spanish coast. This relocation introduced fresh textures to his songwriting. His sound evolved to include light Spanish touches and warm\, 1980s-inspired synths. He recently returned to an organic\, guitar-driven sound on his 2022 release\, Going Places. \nThis upcoming gig offers a superb chance to experience his rich back catalogue live. Audiences can also expect to hear exciting new material. Rouse plans to release his fifteenth studio album\, Museums and Women\, in the autumn of 2026. \nJoin us for an intimate evening of exceptional musicianship. Come and experience one of the most enduring talents in modern folk-pop. \nDoors: 7:30pm
