5|Quarter, named after a coal seam that ran through the Great Northern Coalfield, is a café bar with a stylish feel and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The perfect place to socialise, meet for drinks after work, stop-off before catching the train or enjoy a cocktail before the theatre.

Access & other info
5|Quarter is accessed from street level through our main double door entrance to The Common Room from Orchard Street. On coming into the main building the bar is then up four steps (with a double handrail) and on the right. For wheelchair and limited mobility access there is a small platform lift to the bar level. An accessible toilet is available adjacent to the bar. Tables are available at a range of heights to suit all customers. All assistance dogs are very welcome.

Our drinks menu offers a range of old and new cocktail classics, wide selection of wines, choice of artisan beers and delicious locally sourced soft drinks. Hot beverages are also available. Our bartenders and barista are here to help and advise.
