Lecture Theatre

Ideal for seminars, lectures and presentations

The Lecture Theatre, built to deliver groundbreaking lectures on engineering in the 19th century, now serves as a comfortable space with first-class facilities, while retaining its unique charm. Equipped with a projector and perfect for screening presentations or other content, the Lecture Theatre offers a versatile setting for lectures, seminars, and events.

Stephenson Room

Capacity: Up to 50

A versatile room for meetings, dinners and conferences

Located on the second floor, The Stephenson Room is a versatile space boasting natural light. Part of a set of three rooms, it's ideal for events requiring additional space. Equipped with modern amenities including a TV for presentations, the Stephenson Room offers a seamless experience for a variety of events and gatherings.

Map Room

Capacity: Up to 40

Ideal for stand alone meetings or breakout space

The Map Room provides a stylish and versatile backdrop for meetings, seminars, or as a breakout space when hired together with the Stephenson Room or Meeting Room. Equipped with modern amenities, including TVs for presentations, it offers a seamless experience for your event needs.

Meeting Room

Capacity: Up to 16

Perfect for a board meetings, or breakout space

The Meeting Room is complete with a catering facility and can be hired alone for smaller meetings, or in conjunction with the Stephenson and Map Rooms, offering a completely self-contained experience. Additionally, equipped with a TV for presentations, the Meeting Room ensures a seamless and efficient space for a variety of meeting needs.

Common questions

We are located right in the middle of the city, a 3 minute walk to Newcastle Central Station with connections to most major UK cities, there is also a local metro system and plenty of buses running from here too. There is a taxi rank just outside the building, and lots of parking options nearby.

We have a variety of hotels within walking distance. There are many restaurants and bars nearby too, including our very own Cafe Bar onsite.

Yes we do, our chefs work hard to create delicious menus including breakfast buffets, working lunches and sit down dining options. We are incredibly flexible if you’re looking for something a bit different.

Newcastle is a beautiful city, where you will find everything you need within walking distance; not to mention that famously friendly Geordie welcome!

We certainly do, all of our rooms are kitted out with top of the range facilities including screens and PA systems.  We can also offer high quality live streaming services should you choose to host part of your event virtually.

We work with local suppliers for something a little more bespoke and would be happy to discuss this with you.
