Indie pop royalty The Primitives bring their jangly guitars, infectious melodies, and timeless energy to The Common Room this August.
Bursting out of the UK indie scene in the mid-80s, The Primitives made their mark with shimmering pop gems like Crash – a hit that took them from underground favourites to international chart success. Their debut album Lovely became a cult classic, blending 60s girl group harmonies with punk attitude and a hook-laden sound that still resonates today.
After a hiatus in the 90s, the band reformed in 2009 and have been winning over old fans and new ever since, with a string of releases and celebrated live performances across the UK, Europe, the US and Japan.
Still fronted by the iconic Tracy Tracy alongside original members Paul Court and Tig Williams, The Primitives are as sharp, melodic, and vital as ever.
Don’t miss this chance to see one of indie pop’s most beloved acts in a unique setting at The Common Room.
