George Johnson of Byker, viewer, Robert Smith of Plessey, gent, and William Row of Newcastle, merchant, for a lease for 31 years from 1 May 1790 of their interest in the coal under Spanish Closes and Heaton Royalty. Certain rent £500 p.a. with additional rents dependent on production
