Lease for 31 years between 1. Sir Matthew White Ridley of Blagdon, Bart, and 2. Robert Johnson of Byker, gent, John Buddle of Wallsend, Colliery Viewer, and James Potts of Newcastle, merchant, of all the colliery buildings and houses occupied by the agents and employees of the lessees of Heaton Colliery and a wayleave to construct and maintain a waggonway over Heaton grounds to the colliery, for a rent of £20 p.a. for the building and £250 p.a. for the wayleave subject to the payment of additional rent for damage
