Founded in 2017, The Common Room is charity dedicated to restoring the Grade II* listed Neville Hall, home to the North East’s Mining Institute since 1872. As custodians of this heritage asset and its extensive archive, we deliver public engagement programmes to fulfil our mission to inspire the next generation of innovators and engineers.
