Join LEGO® artist, Steve Mayes, and build your very own LEGO® model of robots currently exploring the surface of ‘The Red Planet’. The mini models you will have the opportunity to build include:
– The Perseverance rover
– The Ingenuity helicopter drone

Workshop times: 10:00 – 11:00, 11:30 – 12:30, 13:30 – 14:30, 15:00 – 16:00
About Steve Mayes:
Steve Mayes’s company ‘Brick This’ specialises in bespoke architectural models made of LEGO®. Over the past few years Steve has worked with a range of clients including English Heritage, The Alnwick Garden, the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Bowes Museum, Tyne and Wear Metro and the Newcastle United Foundation. Steve prides himself on building highly accurate models that are used by clients to attract visitors or to raise awareness of projects. At The Common Room, you can visit Steve’s LEGO® brick model of our building, Neville Hall, with over 30,000 bricks going into the scale model.
Booking information
Tickets are free for these workshops but booking is required, as capacity is capped at 20 people per workshop. Please note, adults accompanying children will also require their own ticket.

Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
