Generator are constantly working at supporting and enabling musicians, artists, and those working in the creative industries to reach their full potential in their chosen career path, right here in the North East. Here at The Common Room, we were delighted to host their ‘Mini Music Conference‘ in December which included the following:
Songwriting Workshop with Bernard Butler
2022 Mercury Prize nominee and critically acclaimed songwriter Bernard Butler hosted two exclusive, collaborative songwriting workshops for artists looking to try out new songwriting techniques in a safe space. ‘Listen To The Radio’: In the round discussion with Tom Robinson
Renowned songwriter, BBC Radio 6 presenter and Generator patron Tom Robinson hosted an ‘in the round’ discussion. Tom shared insights into What can airplay do for your music career? What can’t it do? And does it even matter?
