From 1852 onwards, the Institute published Transactions, initially under their original name of North of England Institute of Mining Engineers.
These gave the text of their lectures and discussions as well as detail about the Institute, the membership and annual reports. From 1889 onwards, this text was also included in the new series of Transactions from the Federated Institution of Mining Engineers.
Volunteers at the Mining Institute have scanned, used OCR and proof read these volumes in order to make them available online. These PDF documents do not contain the images, diagrams and large tables, but these pages can be provided as image files on request, as can text pages if needed.
